What is the difference between beard oil and beard butter?

Beard oil is formulated with lightweight Grapeseed Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride), Argan Kernel Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Vitamin E, and Rosemary Leaf Extract—it absorbs quickly into the skin underneath your beard and facial hair to prevent dryness, tightness, and beard itch without feeling heavy. Beard butter (Coming Soon) combines rich Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Babassu Seed Oil (Orbignya Oleifera), Beeswax (Cera Alba), Grapeseed Oil (Vitis Vinifera), Vitamin E, and Rosemary Leaf Extract to deeply condition medium-to-longer beards, soften coarse hair, and provide light, natural control.

How often should I wash my beard?

Unlike harsh hair shampoos that strip natural oils, North Common Daily Foaming Beard Wash is formulated with gentle plant-derived cleansers (Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Decyl Glucoside), Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Protein, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract. It is gentle enough for daily use in the shower—followed immediately by beard oil while your beard is still slightly damp.

Do you offer fragrance-free options for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our Still (Conditioning Without Added Fragrance) lineup—available now in Beard Oil, Daily Beard Wash, and Routine Kits, with Still Beard Butter (Coming Soon) and Unscented Lip Balm (Coming Soon)—contains zero added fragrance or essential oils, making it ideal for sensitive skin or scent-free workplaces.

Where does North Common ship?

North Common sells and ships exclusively within Canada in Canadian dollars (CAD). Orders are processed within 1–3 business days from our facility in Ontario and typically arrive within 3–7 business days across every Canadian province and territory.

How much is shipping within Canada?

We offer free standard shipping across Canada on all orders of $45+ CAD (before taxes). Orders under $45 CAD ship for a flat rate of $9.99 CAD in Ontario and $12.99 CAD across the rest of Canada.

How does Subscribe & Save work?

Choose the Subscribe & Save (10% Off) option on eligible individual routine essentials to receive automatic deliveries every 2 months. You can pause, skip a delivery, or cancel anytime from your customer account or by contacting info@northcommon.ca before your next billing date.

What is your 30-Day First-Order Satisfaction Guarantee & Return Policy?

Our 30-Day First-Order Satisfaction Guarantee applies to your entire first order with North Common—covering individual products ($28.00 CAD Beard Oils, $24.00 CAD Beard Washes), beard care kits (including the full $45.00 CAD Two-Piece Kit and the full $88.00 CAD Four-Piece Kit), and any combination of products on your first order. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of delivery, contact us at info@northcommon.ca or text/call 226-773-4585 with your order number for a full refund of the entire amount actually paid, including original shipping charges and applicable taxes. Opened and used products are covered, and no return is required—you keep all refunded products (limit one voluntary guarantee claim per customer; covers a qualifying customer’s first subscription order, while later recurring renewals are repeat orders). Outside the first-order guarantee, unopened, unused, factory-sealed products may be returned within 14 days of delivery (with 14 additional days to ship after return authorization; customer arranges and pays return shipping, and original outbound shipping is non-refundable unless required by law).
